Chana dal gosht peshawari

Ingredients: 
1 cup chana dal
2 onions
1 tbsp. ginger garlic paste
2 tsps. Chilli powder
1 tsp. sugar
8 peppercorns
Salt to taste
1/2 kg. mutton
2 tomatoes
1 tsp. turmeric powder
1 tsp. garam masala powder 
1/2 cup oil or ghee 

1/2 cup coriander leaves
Method
  1. Soak dal in water for 3 hours and boil till soft but separate.
  2. Clean mutton and mix with chilli, turmeric and garam masala powders, salt, sugar to taste, ginger garlic paste. Grind chopped onions and tomatoes.
  3. Heat oil or ghee in a pressure cooker and add the peppercorns, meat and fry briskly. Add onion/tomato paste and fry well. Add 2&1/2 cups of hot water and pressure cooker for 15-20 mins. till meat is soft. Add cooked chana dal and blend.
  4. Add water if necessary. Simmer. Sprinkle coriander leaves over and serve with parathas.
